SUNBEAM MOTHER’S DAY 2011 CASH BACK PROMOTION

  • Information on how to claim and the cash back form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Offer not valid in conjunction with any other offer.
  • Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter, participating retailers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
  • Promotion commences on 1/4/11 and ends at 11:59pm AEST on 30/5/11 (“Promotional Period”). Final claims close at 11.59pm AEST on 14/6/11.
  • To be eligible to claim, individuals must purchase a Participating Sunbeam Product (defined below) from any participating store nationally during the Promotional Period.

  • To claim, individuals must visit www.sunbeam.com.au and either:

    a) follow the prompts to the online claim form, input the requested details including their nominated bank account details (for EFT option) or full postal address (for Sunbeam Gift Card option), upload a copy of their purchase receipt and submit the fully completed online claim form; or

    b) follow the prompts to the online claim form, input the requested details including their nominated bank account details (for EFT option) or full postal address (for Sunbeam Gift Card option), submit the fully completed online claim form to receive a unique code which is to be clearly written on a photocopy of their purchase receipt. Individuals must then send the photocopy of the purchase receipt inclusive of the unique code to “Sunbeam Mother’s Day Promotion 2011” PO Box 6371, North Sydney, NSW 2059; or

    c) follow the prompts to download and print the claim form, input the requested details including their correct mailing address and send the completed claim form and a photocopy of their purchase receipt to “Sunbeam Mother’s Day Promotion 2011” PO Box 6371, North Sydney, NSW 2059.

    All claims must be received by 11.59pm AEST on 14/6/11.

  • The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and claimants (including a claimant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any claimant who submits a claim that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the claim process. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
  • Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible claims will be deemed invalid.
  • Multiple claims permitted, subject to the following: (a) only one (1) claim permitted per Participating Sunbeam Product; and (b) each claim must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements.
  • Claimants must send in a photocopy of their purchase receipt(s) for all entries as proof of purchase. Failure to produce the proof of purchase for all claims when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, result in invalidation of ALL of a claimant's claims and forfeiture of any right to a gift. Purchase receipt(s) must clearly specify the store of purchase and that the purchase was made during the Promotional Period but prior to submitting the claim. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected mail. The Promoter recommends that claimants retain their original purchase receipts for their records and reserves the right to request it if any discrepancies occur.
  • Every valid claim received will be awarded $10 cash back.
  • The $10 cash back issued is inclusive of GST and will be issued as either:

    a) a payment to the individual’s nominated bank account (EFT) as indicated on the online redemption form for claimants who have claimed online; or

    b) a Sunbeam Gift Card that will be sent to the address supplied on the mail in entry form for claimants who have claimed via mail only. The Sunbeam Gift Card is issued by Citigroup Pty Ltd. pursuant to a license from MasterCard® International Incorporated. MasterCard is a registered trademark of MasterCard International Incorporated.

  • It is the responsibility of the claimant to provide the correct mailing address and personal information in order to receive their Sunbeam Gift Card. The card will be delivered within twenty eight (28) working days of proof of purchase being received and validated. The card can be used to make payments anywhere in the world where MasterCard is accepted using electronic authorisation. This includes in-store, internet and over the phone. The Sunbeam Gift Card is valid for twelve (12) months, for payments of up to the dollar amount loaded onto the card which is subject to the terms and conditions set out in the Terms of Use. Users of the Sunbeam Gift Card will be bound by those Terms of Use. Claimants who have claimed by mail will be sent a copy of the Terms of Use with their card, but Citibank recommends that claimants also view them at: http://promo.sunbeam.com.au/citibanktcs/.
  • It is the responsibility of the claimant to provide the correct details for their nominated bank account or mailing address (for Sunbeam Gift Cards).
  • Payments via EFT will be made within five (5) working days of proof of purchase being received and validated.
  • Gifts are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash unless otherwise specified.
  • If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
  • Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the claimant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automatic claim software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows the claimant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all claims submitted by that claimant invalid.
  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limit, exclude or modify or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion.
  • Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees,  the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees and agents) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any claim or gift that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in gift value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a claimant; or (f) use of the cash back.
  • The Promoter collects personal information in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, gift suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Claim is conditional on providing this information. If the claimant does not opt out at the time of submitting their claim by ticking the check box then the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the claimant. Claimants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All claims become the property of the Promoter.
